The event was inaugurated on June 5th by Ms. Anita Praveen, Secretary of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, who emphasized the importance of the food processing sector in India. She highlighted the sector’s role as the second largest employer in the country and its significance in supporting farmers. Ms. Praveen noted, “We are a huge market, and we are witnessing numerous trade negotiations because the world recognizes that consumers are in India. These negotiations indicate the growing importance of the Indian Food Processing sector on a global scale.”
